The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has awarded seven individuals the title of "outstanding Party members" for their commitment to their work, according to a decision made public on Thursday.
The decision was made to consolidate the achievements of a CPC education campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission," which launched on May 31, 2019.
Of the seven outstanding Party members, five were awarded the title posthumously.
They are role models for Party members in the new era, said the announcement, calling on all Party members and cadres to emulate their loyalty to the Party, steadfast ideals and convictions, and adherence to a people-centered approach.
It also encouraged Party members and cadres to follow in the footsteps of the role models, who have demonstrated a strong sense of mission and devotion and made sustained efforts to tackle difficulties.
It asked Party organizations at all levels to publicize the actions of the role models through various means. Enditem
