The Social Design Exhibition Asia kicked off at a museum in the city of Xiamen in eastern China's Fujian Province on Monday.
The exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum Xiamen consists of more than 100 social design cases from 20 countries and regions.
The exhibition shows how domestic and international brands, non-profit organizations and governments respond to the issues of contemporary society via material objects, written stories and videos.
It also shows how the designs solve social issues and create a better society in aspects like circular economy, disaster response, education diversity, care for vulnerable groups and urban innovation.
According to Sean Shih, curator of the Red Dot Design Museum Xiamen, the museum plans to promote the construction of China's social design ecosystem by exhibitions, conferences, and co-creation workshops this year.
The exhibition will last till July 31. Enditem
