Reports and suggestions collected through an online inspection platform launched by China's central government have helped the country's fight against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to sources from the program.
Reports, complaints and suggestions from the public regarding testing and treatment of the disease as well as relevant officials' misconduct have been transferred to proper authorities to ensure the anti-virus combat is carried out efficiently.
The platform's staff are also working hard to collect information to facilitate business and work resumption.
The General Office of the State Council launched the inspection platform in April last year to collect reports of government misconduct and suggestions from the public to improve government work.
Over the last year, it has received over 7 million such reports and suggestions and all have been properly handled, the source said.
In some cases, the central authority sent investigation teams, some working in secret, to look into the real situation at the spot.
The platform also published over 50 typical problems discovered from these reports to warn relevant departments and officials and respond to public concerns. Enditem
