Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, has extended festive greetings to military officers and soldiers of Beijing-based troops ahead of the Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year.
Zhang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, called on troops at all levels to carry out their duties faithfully and scrupulously, devote efforts in pushing forward reform and innovation, and continuously break new ground in strengthening the troops.
Zhang visited a division of the surface-to-air missile forces, a division of the Beijing garrison command and a detachment of the Beijing armed police corps, checking military equipment and training, chatting with officers and soldiers, learning about their work and life and listening to work reports.
Zhang also underlined the importance of obeying the Party's command, enhancing combat capabilities and promoting all-round progress in developing the military at the primary level.
