The 2nd China-Heilongjiang International Rice Festival which is jointly organize by State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Heilongjiang Provincial People’s Government was held on the morning of the 9th. The organizing committee invited famous experts from five countries including the United States, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the Philippines as well as Taiwan region. And a total of 30 domestic rice evaluation experts with international level formed the rice evaluation and review committee. The tasting committee will make a final evaluation of the 20 rice samples selected from the initial evaluation, and select gold, silver, bronze and excellence awards.
On the 9th, the second China Heilongjiang International Rice Festival rice tasting event released the final evaluation results of the rice tasting event. Koshihikari from Japan’s Yuuma and Wuyoudao 4 of Anjia Township, Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province won the gold medal.
It is understood that a total of 251 samples participated in the tasting this year. Among them: there were 22 samples of Japan, 10 samples of Thailand, 3 samples of Vietnam, 2 samples of South Korea, 2 samples of Russia, 1 sample of Pakistan, 4 samples of Cambodia, 1 sample of Laos, 52 samples of domestic high-quality rice (25 samples of Jilin, 19 samples of Liaoning, 4 samples of Jiangsu, 2 samples of Ningxia, 2 samples of Anhui, 1sample of Tianjin) and 154 samples from Heilongjiang Province.
