Real estate conglomerate China Evergrande Group announced late Monday the issuance of senior notes with a total worth of 2 billion U.S. dollars.

The notes include 1.25-billion-USD 9.5 percent senior notes due in 2022, 450-million-USD 10 percent senior notes due in 2023, and 300-million-USD 10.5 percent senior notes due in 2024.

The company said the issuance was undertaken for its capital expenditures and to refinance existing indebtedness.

Credit Suisse, Bank of China, CEB International, Haitong International, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UBS are among the initial purchasers.

The company, headquartered in China's tech hub Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, posted revenue of 466.2 billion yuan (about 69.4 billion U.S. dollars) in 2018, up 49.9 percent from the previous year.
