Qian Yin'an, a senior official in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party disciplinary rules and laws, according to the top anti-graft agency on Thursday.

Qian, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and secretary-general of the CPC provincial committee, is being investigated by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
