A former senior legislator of northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party disciplinary rules and laws, according to the top anti-graft agency Thursday.

Xing Yun, former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
