Hong Kong stocks closed up 317.48 points, or 1.15 percent, to 27,816.87 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 27,589.37 and 28,031.81. Turnover totaled 107.99 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 13.83 billion U.S. dollars).
