Hong Kong stocks closed down 454.19 points, or 1.62 percent, to 27,499.39 points on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 27,425.01 and 27,783.85. Turnover totaled 69.33 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 8.88 billion U.S. dollars).
