China's largest aluminium producer Chinalco has signed a cooperation agreement with the government of southwest China's Yunnan Province to set up a joint-venture.

In principle, Chinalco will own 58 percent of the new venture, while Yunnan provincial government will own the remaining 42 percent, according to statements released Monday by Yunnan Copper Co. Ltd., Yunnan Chihong Zinc & Germanium Co. Ltd., and Yunnan Aluminium Co. Ltd.

The share prices of Chinalco, Yunnan Copper Co. Ltd., Yunnan Chihong Zinc & Germanium Co. Ltd., and Yunnan Aluminium Co. Ltd. fell slightly Monday.
