Authorities in east China's Jiangxi Province will look into a major traffic accident that killed 12 people on Monday afternoon.

According to the provincial office of safe production commission, an investigation team will "seriously deal with those held accountable" and publish the results to the public accordingly.

The truck-bus collision in Yingtan City left 12 people dead and seven in a critical condition. Another nine were seriously injured and are receiving treatment, while 21 others sustained minor injuries.
