社交网络的流行，使网上出现了很多“懒惰的社会知识分子”。他们活跃在网络上、社交媒体上，不用实际行动，而仅仅用更换头像、发布更新这些办法去支持某个事件。

Slacktivist is a person that does simple things like change their avatar colour or post a status update about a cause instead of actively supporting the cause.

“懒惰的社会知识分子”指的是那些在网上换换头像颜色、或者对某个事件发布一条状态更新，而不是用积极行动去支持这件事的人。

例如：

I just turned my twitter avatar green to support Haiti, LOL.

我刚把推特上的头像换成绿色的，支持海地，哈哈。
