Do Min-joon, the alien with superpowers in the South Korean drama "My Love from the Star", will have a different identity in China.

In the Chinese version of the drama, he will become a novelist and the entire story of the original drama will become a fictional tale written by him.

Meanwhile, the original 21-episode series drama has also been expanded to 30 shorter episodes.

The series has been licensed to China's Anhui TV and is now airing.

"My Love from the Star" was first broadcast at the end of 2013 on South Korea's SBS TV, and soon went viral on Chinese video-sharing websites.

It tells a love story between an alien Do Min-joon and an arrogant, yet endearing human named Cheon Song-yi.
