[Photo: mtime.com] 'Spotlight' star Michael Keaton has been honored as Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French culture minister in Paris. The actor expressed his gratitude upon receiving the honor. "It's something about which as a boy there's no way I could have ever imagined this happening. And I had a very good imagination as a boy. Yours is a culture that has such respect for beauty and art that if I have ever, even in the smallest way, made a tiny contribution to beauty or art in this culture or any culture in the world for that matter, I am honored and grateful and proud." The Hollywood star's new film 'Spotlight' is set to open in France on January 27th. Directed by Tom McCarthy, this film features the true story of how the Boston Globe newspaper uncovered the Massachusetts Catholic Priest sexual abuse scandal. Golden Globe winning Keaton has earned an Oscar nomination for his role as the chief editor of the investigative reporting team. |
