Film legend and Oscar winner Michael Douglas has signed on to appear in Marvel's new superhero franchise "Antman". Douglas will take the role of Hank Pym, a genius scientist who creates the shrinking serum that gives "Antman" his wondrous powers. Comedian actor Paul Rudd will fill the tiny shoes of "Antman" in the film. No one really knows what to expect from this film, given its director is comedy veteran Edgar Wright, best known for his zombie apocalypse spoof Shaun of the Dead. On casting Douglas in the role, Marvel's president said they needed an actor with gravitas to fill out the stature of a character as important as scientist Hank Pym. Though it may be difficult for some to see Douglas as a borderline superhero, the actor says he has been "dying" to appear in a Marvel film for a long time. |
