Air China says it is closing its flagship store on China's second largest online travel agency Qunar. This comes after several other major airlines, including China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines and Capital Airlines, the Beijing-based subsidiary of HNA Group ended their cooperation with the agency. China Southern Airlines says it has been irritated by the growing number of passenger complaints about ticket purchasing and refunds through Qunar. Meanwhile, Hainan Airlines and Capital Airlines have also made similar comments citing passenger complaints about Qunar's extra charges and higher priced air tickets. Qunar has responded, however, by saying that the issue is not about extra charges, but rather about air ticket ranking. The company says the airlines have demanded that it change the order of ticket display on its website from an order by price to a chronological order. Qunar also added that consumers can still buy the carriers' air tickets from its website during the suspension period. |
