Earlier in the day, Hemsworth attended a press conference to promote the movie. "Yeah, it's fantastic. We've been here twice now, just for a couple of days, but it's wonderful to be here with this movie that I'm very proud of, you know, and I'm happy to bring it to Mexico and hope the people enjoy it." "In the Heart of the Sea" is based on the non-fiction book of the same name, which narrates the dramatic trip of a whaling ship in the 1800's that is hit by a bull sperm whale, splitting the boat in half and sinking the ship. The crew is then shipwrecked for 90 days where they must resort to cannabalism to survive. To play the 19th-century sailors adrift with no food, Hemsworth and his co-stars had to slim down considerably, enduring diets of a measly 500 calories a day. The movie marked the second teaming of Hemsworth and Ron Howard, who directed him in "Rush." It is set to open in Mexico on Dec. 3rd.
