教师节Teachers’ Day

9月10号是教师节，在老师的辛勤栽培和辅导下，学生们才能茁壮成长。借此机会我们来学习英语(精品课)中除了teacher还有哪些具体描述“老师”的词语，以及感谢老师的表达。

老师有哪些？

Headteacher校长

男女校长都适用。多数是指小学和中学的校长。

例句：The new head teacher started last term and is already making a difference at the school.新校长上学期才上任，学校各方面已经有了改变。

注意：Headmaster男校长，Headmistress女校长

Head of Department系主任

适用于小学，中学和大学里。

例句：Mr Porter is the Head of Science at Morton Hill School. He leads a team of twelve teaching staff.伯特先生是Morton Hill学校的科学系主任，他领导了一个由12名教师组成的团队。

Form teacher班主任

例句：My form teacher is really kind to me. She really listens to me.我的班主任对我特别好，她能真正的倾听我的心声。

Supply teacher代课老师

英国学校会聘用supply teachers填充一些临时出现空缺的教师职位。

例句：The shortage of teachers means many schools have to rely on supply teachers.教师资源的紧缺意味着许多学校需要聘请代课老师。

Tutor家教，导师

这个词可以表示“家教”，但是在大学里有“导师”或“助教”的意思。

例句一：I have decided to get a tutor after school to help me with my physics study.我决定课后请家教帮我学习物理。

例句二：Mr Head is my personal tutor and we meet every month to discuss my progress on the course. Mr Head是我的导师，我们每个月都会见面讨论我的学业进展。

Professor教授

例句: My classmate became a professor of statistics at the age of 35. He has a brilliant mind.我的同班同学35岁时当上了统计学教授，他真是聪明绝顶。
