[Photo: weibo] Recently, a promotional video for central China's Henan province hit the screen on New York City's Times Square, as reported by jinbw.com.cn. This promotional video presents Henan's various tourist attractions, such as the Shaolin Temple and Longmen Grottoes, as well as cultural events like tai chi chuan, historical images like Emperors Yan Huang, and local cuisine like the Henan stewed noodles. The promotion video, titled as "the World Looks to the East from Here", has attracted enormous public attention. Wang Xin, head of Songyang Culture Co., explained that his company, under the support of social organizations in Henan, filmed the video and acquired its screening privilege in Times Square. The promotion video, which will stay on the screen for a week, costs over $100,000. Wang expects that the video would promote a fresh and authentic understanding of the Henan Province and central China to the world.
