Beijing police stopped a promotional activity involving dozens of foreign models dressed like Spartan soldiers on Wednesday.

The street promotion in Chaoyang District was organized by a dessert shop.

Media reports say the foreign models appeared in several areas, including Guomao subway station, a pedestrian overpass in Sanlitun, and Jianwai SOHO.

Some participants were detained for ignoring warnings from police, as the promotion disrupted street order.
