[Photo: Xinhua] Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen unveiled his new Cabinet of 17 ministers on Sunday. Rasmussen presented the Cabinet makeup to Queen Margrethe II at Amalienborg Castle, the queen's residence, in Copenhagen. Denmark's center-right blue bloc won 90 out of the 179 seats in the Danish Parliament in June 18 elections. However, Rasmussen's Liberal Party, which won only 34 seats, had to establish a minority government after talks with other center-right parties failed. "We are very aware that we are a minority government, and we have the ambition to cooperate broadly in Parliament," Rasmussen said after meeting with the queen. Among the key posts, Kristian Jensen becomes the new foreign minister, while Claus Hjort Frederiksen gets the post of finance minister. Although the new government is the weakest since 1973, Rasmussen said good opportunities lie ahead for stable cooperation in the legislative body. "As I read the political landscape, I see very good opportunities that we can cooperate," he said. Following are the makeup of 17 ministers of Denmark's new government: Prime Minister: Lars Loekke Rasmussen Minister of Finance: Claus Hjort Frederiksen Minister for Foreign Affairs: Kristian Jensen Minister of Justice: Soeren Pind Minister for Immigration, Integration and Housing: Inger Stoejberg Minister for Taxation: Karsten Lauritzen Minister for Culture and Church: Bertel Haarder Minister for Transport and Construction: Hans Christian Schmidt Minister for Environment and Food: Eva Kjer Hansen Minister for Business and Growth: Troels Lund Poulsen Minister for Social and Interior Affairs: Karen Ellemann Minister for Energy and Climate: Lars Christian Lilleholt Minister for Children, Education and Equality: Ellen Trane Noerby Minister for Health and Elderly: Sophie Loehde Minister for Higher Education and Research: Esben Lunde Larsen Minister of Defence and Nordic Cooperation: Carl Holst Minister for Employment: Joern Neergaard Larsen.
