On the occasion of Children's Day, the team song of the "Young Pioneers of China" has been given a remake and performed by TFBOYS.

The reproduced version of "We are the Heirs of Communism" is sung by China's teenage boy band TFBOYS.

The music video of the remake song also features guest appearance from Chi Haotian, a general of China's armed forces, former basketball player Yao Ming, and singer Han Geng.

The original version of the song was the theme song of the 1978 film "Little Eighth Route".

The film is about a group of children who were the soldiers at the Eighth Routers Army stayed at the frontlines of coastal Fujian in order to help the war effort against nationalist forces during China's Civil War.

The Young Pioneers of China is the mass youth organization of the Communist Party of China for children aged six to fourteen in the country.
