Seasons 27 and 28 were announced by Fox on Monday, bringing the long running series to 625 episodes. Along with the news a quote was given by Homer Simpson saying he's outlasted Letterman, John Stewart and "McDreamy" because he has something they don't, a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction. "The Simpsons" about a middle class disfunctional American family, consisting of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, is the longest running TV show in history.
