Chinese real estate giant SOHO is said to be working with internet search-engine Baidu to sell homes online.

Executive from the two companies have made the suggestion while on a panel discussion at the Boao Forum.

If the partnership realized, it will be the first major tie-up between a landdeveloper and an Internet company in the country.

Details haven't been made clear.

Baidu President Zhang Yaqin says talks are at a very early stage.

SOHO has established a number of high-end properties around the country.
