Shashi Kapoor is to be awarded the "Phalke award", the highest honor in Indian cinema on Monday.

The Dada Saheb Phalke Award will be given to Kapoor for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.

The 77-year-old actor has starred in more than 160 films between the 1960s and late 1990s.

Some of his big box-office hits were "Deewar," and "Jab Jab Phool Khile".
