The Shanghai Human Sperm Bank at Renji Hospital has collected 183,775 donations and provided 57,227 samples to medical facilities since opening in 2003, it said yesterday.

In the same period, more than 3,400 babies have been born thanks to the bank’s donors, it said.

The facility also offers men the chance to store their sperm for later use.
