Dangnai Wetland lies in Heilongjiang Province Dorbod Mongolia Autonomous County and is named 鈥渉ometown of the red-crowned cranes鈥?

The total area of the wetland is 37 thousand hectares. The rate of marsh coverage is 85%. The aquatic resources are rich; species of plankton and aquatic tubular plants are rich and big. There are 46 species of freshwater fish, 277 species of insects and more than 260 species of wild waterfowls. There are 6 species of cranes and the red-crowned cranes are precious. There are also swans, wild geese, herons, wild ducks, mandarin ducks and sea gulls that nest and breed here.
