Chinese badminton player Lin Dan has garnered the gold medal in men's singles at the London Olympics.

His entertainer friends celebrated the news by posting on their Weibo pages old photos of Lin with them. Pop diva Faye Wong was one. She posted a photo showing Lin with her and fellow actress Zhao Wei. Actor Huang Xiaoming also shared a photo.

But the most famous photo is the one in which Lin poses with singer-actor Eason Chan. The photo was uploaded by Chan's agent, Katie Chen, days before Lin's win. Nothing special about this photo, but a random netizen said her father had mistaken the curly-haired Eason Chan for Lin Dan's mother, and it quickly became a popular joke in the Weibo world. For that, Chan gained his new nickname: Dan's mom!
