"We made 100 percent preparation. Wang Yimei (China's star wing spiker)'s injury made us very difficult to play. We are not in the best form, but I'm glad other girls played well and did their best," said Yu.

The Chinese has showed great fighting spirit when following behind, which middle blocker Ma Yunwen believed the winning will help them to conquer the difficulties.

"We didn't give up, we knew for our older players this is probably going to be the last Olympics, so we tried to stay calm and concentrated at the court," said Ma.
