Recently the Chinese "body artist" Liu Bolin held an exhibition named "Hiding in New York City" in Eli Klein Gallery.

Through the use of his own body in his practice of painting himself into various settings, Liu created confusion between the setting and himself. If you don't look at them carefully, it's hard to recognize him from the settings.

Liu Bolin was born in 1973 and grew up in China's Shandong province. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Shandong College of Arts in 1995 and his Master of Fine Arts from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 2001. His work has been exhibited in museums around the world. One of his most prominent works is the ongoing series of photographs known as "The Invisible Man."
