The Supreme People's Court (SPC) of China has worked out more specific measures to carry out the previously issued regulations that require judges whose spouses and children are lawyers in the same jurisdiction to take jobs elsewhere.

According to the SPC's circular available to Xinhua on Monday, the SPC has introduced an implementation guide and a manual to carry out the regulations enacted in February this year.

The guide and manual are based on extensive consultations with judges and court officials, including those to be relocated, according to the circular.

The implementation guide has set a timetable that, by the end of this year, courts at all levels should relocate at least 80 percent of judges and court officials whose spouses and children work as lawyers in the same jurisdiction.

The guide also orders that appropriate arrangements be made for judges and court officials who have to change offices.
