China had decided to offer emergency humanitarian aid of 500,000 U.S. dollars in cash to quake-stricken Myanmar, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Saturday.
The aid was extended to help Myanmar's disaster relief efforts and post-quake reconstruction, the MOC said in a statement on its website. Chen Deming, Minister of the MOC, expressed condolences to Myanmar in a letter to his counterpart of Myanmar, Minister of National Planning and Economic Development U Soe Tha. Chen also said in the letter that China was willing to provide Myanmar with any necessary help. |
