The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. Dozens of ancient Egyptian artifacts were stolen as looters broke into the museum amid massive demonstrations that led to the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak.
