Liang Shanding( Dec 31,1914--1995) The member of CCP, Liang Shanding was born in Kaiyuan of Liaoning province with two old names Liang Meng’geng and Deng Li. In 1930, he worked for the student edition of Citizen’s Daily and Red Knotweed as the editor as well as the editor-in-chief for Poetry. After 1945, he experienced a series of posts such as teacher for Peking National Academy of Arts, director for library, editor for Grassland, editor & reporter for the literary supplement of Life, editor for Youth of Northeast and Good Kids, literary group leader of Northeast People’s Publishing House, co-director for Literature Monthly of Shenyang Branch of China Writers’ Association and director & professor of Harbin Academy of Literature & Art. He began to publish his literary works from 1931 and joined the China Writers’ Association in 1954. His major works are as follows: saga novel The Green Vale, prose collection Traveling Notes on East Road, poem collection The Lovely Achnatherum, Poem Collection of Liang Shanding, short stories anthologies of The Reed, Wind from the Mountains, Nostalgia and A Harvest Year, Monograph Research by Liang Shanding, scenarios of Happiness nearby the Shahe Bridge, Salesgirl Sun Fangzhi(coauthored), 30 pieces of theses including the History of Northeast Writers, Sketches of Northeast Writers, Traveling within the Literary World, etc. Moreover, a series of books were compiled by him such as Literary Collections in the Period of Northeast Occupied by Japanese, Camp Fire in a Long Night, The Candlewick, Memorial for Xiao Jun and Study on Northeast Literature(7 volumes) and Historical Materials for Northeast Literature Magnum Opus:The Green Vale, Wind from the Mountains, Nostalgia, Poem Collection of Liang Shanding, Camp Fire in a Long Night, The Mom and Her Kids |
