He graduated from Art Department of Harbin Normal University and went for further training in Beijing Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Painting and Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is a member of Chinese Artists Association, professional painter of Heilongjiang Painting Institute, distinguished visiting professor in Beijing PLA Art Academy, teacher and supervisor of workshops in the training center of Chinese Artists Association, national first-grade artist.

Prize-winning Works

He won the silver medal in Heilongjiang Youth Art Exhibition in 1980, and copper medal in Second National Youth Art Exhibition in the same year. He was admitted as a member of Chinese Artists Association in 1981 and won the gold medal in Heilongjiang Art Exhibition with a coordinator in 1982. His works was selected into the Six National Art Exhibition in 1984. He was invited by Beijing Research Institute of Traditional Chinese Painting to hold a solo art exhibition in 1987 and attended Chinese Painting Exhibition of Five Painters in Singapore in 1988, and Art Exhibition of Four Painters from Northern China in Hong Kong. He was invited to give lectures in Japan in 1990, and held a Chinese painting exhibition in Tokyo. He won the top award in China International Gallery Exposition in 1991. He established Wenzhou Art Studio in Beijing in 1998. He has been one of the three hundred famous artists of Chinese painting since 1999 and in the same year he sent his work to the Century Exhibition of Chinese Landscape Painting. He has been invited to attend Chinese Painting Exhibition every year from 2000 to 2005.
