Born on January 31, 1921 in the city of Qiqihar, he is the first generation painter in Heilongjiang Provincial Literary Federation. Nurtured in the southern culture, some painters created their works with the traditional bounds. They took traditional paintings as their models, which results in their limited regional influence, but little national impact. Among these artists, Wang Xianpu is one of the typical representatives. In terms of painting, Sun Yuntai, Songxuebin, Shiyi resurrected Russian painting customs.
