He has some bynames such as Changbaiese, Mountain Climber, master of Woshantang as well. Born in Yushu of Jilin Province in 1939, he entered the Fine Arts Department of Harbin Academy of Arts and dedicated himself to the traditional Chinese painting. After graduation in 1964, he had worked as the art editor at Party鈥檚 Life sponsored by Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee as well as the Heilongjiang Daily. Then he moved to Hebei Province and engaged himself to the cause of fine arts education. He is the academician of China Artists Association.
