    He was born at Changli County of Hebei Province in 1912 and graduated from Portrait Department of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts in 1929. And he ever learned oil painting from Russian oil painters and Japanese painter Isikasiwatei from 1930 to1936. Now he has retired and is an academician of China Artists Association.
