Born in December 1948, Gao Huimin graduated from Harbin Normal University 1976 and got an advanced studies in China Central Academy of Fine Arts. He has a masterly skill for Chinese sketch of birds ad flowers paintings, sometimes for landscape paintings, portraits and for finger paintings owing to his acquisition from various painting masters at university. He enjoys a good reputation in Chinese painting circle due to his specialization in wild flowers of Northern China and a powerful and vast feature of Black Land. Now he is the professor, master students鈥?supervisor, vice-president of the Academy of Art of Harbin Normal University as well as the academician of China Artists Association. His works have been displayed in various important Exhibitions many times and awarded with many honors such as the Champion in the First National Birds and Flowers Painting Exhibition, Excellence at the 9th National Fine Arts Exhibition. It should be mentioned that his work The Interesting Autumn has been selected in Chinese Painting Exhibition for a Century. Additionally, many of his works has been displayed and collected at many countries and districts such as Japan, South Korean, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. His works and reviews have been published many times on various newspapers and journals such as People鈥檚 Daily, Guangming Daily, Fine Arts, Chinese Traditional Painters. He is entitled as the Younger Brunt on Today鈥檚 Flowers and Birds Painting filed and the Reformer of Flowers and Birds Painting. Magnum opus: Several volumes of Painting Collections of Gao Huimin have been published and one of his works The High Autumn has been selected in Complete Collections of Chinese Modern Fine Arts, and The Flavor of Autumn has been compiled into the Chinese Traditional Paintings Collection For a Century.
