銆€銆€China's Ministry of Public Security(MPS), on Tuesday warned the nation's firefighting forces that they were entering the peak season for fires.
銆€銆€Chen Weiming, director of the MPS fire department, said at a teleconference that 70 fatal fire accidents occurred in November, killing 106 people and injuring 35.
銆€銆€Winter was a high-risk season as the use of electricity, gas, and other fuels surged, said Chen.
銆€銆€According to the MPS, 46 percent of fires occurred from November to February in most of the country over the past 30 years.
