銆€銆€The Inter IKEA Center Group (IICG) unveiled here Tuesday two "Super Regional Shopping Center" projects located respectively in Daxing District in Beijing and Wuxi City in eastern Jiangsu Province.
銆€銆€In the shopping centers, IKEA stores will be one of its main attractions, which, together with tenants in fashion, food, home electronics and entertainment, will create a strong and unique shopping center concept, said Ding Hui, managing director of Inter IKEA Center China.
銆€銆€"We aim to create a dynamic retail environment, to work closely with our retailers to attract more visitors and offer a commercially attractive, family friendly, convenient and safe shopping experience," Ding said.
銆€銆€The status of the two projects as regional shopping centers will be bolstered by the environment-friendly Scandinavian design concept and convenient access by public transportation and cars with spacious parking facilities, he said.
銆€銆€The Daxing project, due to open in 2014, boasts a business area of 200,000 square meters including the second IKEA store in Beijing and a parking lot that can serve 7,000 cars. It will be accessed by light rails and buses.
銆€銆€The project in Wuxi is due to open in 2013 with a slightly smaller business area of 140,000 square meters and a parking lot that can serve 6,000 cars. It will also be accessed by light rails and buses.
銆€銆€IICG was established in 2001, with its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.
