Xi Jinping said Wednesday that China will not close its door to the world, and it will only become more and more open.

Xi made the remarks in a report to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in the Great Hall of the People in central Beijing.

"Openness brings progress, while self-seclusion leaves one behind," Xi said.
