John Nash, the subject of Oscar-winning film-"A Beautiful Mind" has died in a car crash.

The 86-year-old US mathematician and his wife were killed when their taxi crashed in New Jersey.

The driver allegedly lost control during an overtaking maneuver and hit the guard rail.

Police say the two were not wearing seatbelts.

John Nash is famous for his work in game theory and he won Nobel Prize for Economics in 1994.

His breakthroughs in math and his battle with schizophrenia were featured in the 2001 movie-A beautiful Mind.
