It is learned eight key coal projects including the Shenning indirect coal liquefaction project with an annual capacity of four million tons started construction on Sept. 28.

Located in the Ningdong energy and chemical industry base, NW China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the projects will take an investment amounting to 92.3 billion yuan RMB.

Liu Hui, Vice-chairman of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, said at the construction site that laying the foundation stone is just a beginning of the construction of the key projects.

Based on elaborated plans, building groups are responsible for completing the projects on schedule and make sure all of them are of high quality, and answerable to the expectations of history and the people.

"The Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group Co., Ltd. sets the strategic objectives of building a first-class international energy and chemical industry," Tan Rongrao, leader of the National Energy Administration and Chief inspector, said.

Tan added he believes the group will develop into a modern international energy enterprise with advanced management system, strong business capacity, technical development, investment and financial function, core competitiveness, and advanced technical equipment.
