At the Xigang dock of Tongjiang port, the international standard container transportation business to Russia Khabarovsk port has opened. Tongjiang becomes the first water transportation international standard container transportation business in Heilongjiang.

Now Tongjiang port has opened a variety of modes of water transport, car ferry transport, hovercraft transport and winter buoyancy tank fixed ice channel and many modes of transportation. It is one of the national first level ports that achieved yearly customs clearance in Heilongjiang Province. After it opened, the travelling merchants delivered from Tongjiang port can load directly into a factory and shipment at the port directly, therefore, giving significant savings in shipment time, reducing its storing links, and avoiding the loss of goods. It opens up a new channel of Heilongjiang water port trade with Russia.
