    LONDON, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Chinese table tennis player Li Xiaoxia defeated Japanese player Kasumi Ishikawa, successfuly meeting her teammate Ding Ning in the women's singles finals at the Olympic table tennis tournament on Tuesday.

    Li beat Ishikawa 11-5, 11-4, 11-13, 11-6 and 11-7.

    Li, seed No. 2, will face top gold favorite Ding on Wendesay. Out of the eight games the two competed over the last three years, Ding won six of them.

    Ishikawa will play agasint Singapore's Feng Tianwei, competing for a podium finish.
