    CHINA-WUHAN-QU YUAN-COMMEMORATION (CN)

Young women present the traditional Han costume at the commemorative ceremony to honor Qu Yuan, a patriot poet during the Warring State Period (475-221 BC), at the East Lake scenic area in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, June 23, 2012. People took part in a commemorative ceremony to honor Qu Yuan here on Saturday to mark the Dragon Boat Festival and publicize Chinese traditional culture. The festival, also called Duanwu Festival, is traditionally celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which falls on June 23 this year. (Xinhua/Hao Tongqian)
