The 3rd Changchun Foreigners' Games opened on Saturday with the participation of more than 500 amateur athletes from 69 countries and regions. The two-day games features 26 events including soccer, basketball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, shooting and swimming. The participants are foreign citizens studying or working in the northeastern Chinese city. "I take part in this games to make friends," said a Guinean badminton player who has the Chinese name of Xian Na. "This games is great," said the 19-year-old Canadian John Harsh, an avid fan of basketball. "I don't care about the results. To make friends and have fun is more important." |
