A series of artistic projects will be presented during a Contemporary Art Biennial in Kiev organised to present contemporary culture of the two Euro 2012 host cities, Warsaw and Kiev, until the end of September.

"This will be the biggest presentation of Polish culture in Ukraine in the past 20 years," Leszek Napiontek from Warsaw city hall said Wednesday. He added that Polish culture is warmly received in Kiev by the public and artists.

"Double Game", a central project of the Polish-Ukrainian biennial, will last from May 24 to July 31.

From May 19 to Sept. 7, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Zacheta Art Gallery in Warsaw will present in Kiev their collections under the title of "Culture Luggage".

Works of young Ukrainian artists will be presented as part of the "Transfer" project in the Centre of Contemporary Art in Warsaw from June 5 to Aug. 12. Works of young Poles will be shown in the Kiev Pichuk Art Centre from Aug. 14 to Sept. 30.

The three events will be accompanied by a street-art "This Way" project in Warsaw and Kiev.

Euro 2012, to run from June 8 to July 1, 2012, will be co-hosted by the two countries' eight cities. The matches will be played in Poland's Warsaw, Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk and Ukraine's Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov and Donetsk.
